E-Safety

Southway Primary is committed to promoting internet safety as part of our safeguarding practices. Our Online and E-Safety Policy can be found here.

Below are some useful links to help parents and children understand how to keep safe using the internet.

Safer Internet Day occurs each year, usually in February. Southway Primary School signs up to support this event by raising awareness in the week's assemblies and in lessons. We have hard copies of Vodaphone's digital parenting magazine available in the school office or it can be accessed here.

CEOPS 'Think U Know' Website

An excellent place to find information on the sites you like to visit, mobiles and new technology. Find out what’s good, what’s not and what you can do about it. If you look after young people there’s an area for you too – with resources you can use in the classroom or at home. Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online. All the information here is brought to you by the team at the NCA's CEOP Command.

Childline

If you are a child with a concern but don't feel you can talk to anyone at home or at school, remember there is always Childline - calls are free and confidential.
