New Provider - ISS Education from September 2026

WELCOME

From September 2026, school meals at Southway Primary School will be provided by ISS Education, who are taking over from Chartwells as part of a new West Sussex County Council contract. Our catering team formally joins ISS on 1st August, ready for the new term.

From mid-August, parents will be able to register and order meals through our new Kanpla app or web portal, and full guidance on how to set up an account will be shared before then. To find out more about what's coming, including menus, visit www.feedwestsussex.co.uk. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Gemma Skinner in the school office.

At FEED (Feeding Excellence Every Day), we love what we do - serving food that supports growing minds, busy school days and children’s overall wellbeing.

We believe every child should enjoy a school lunch that’s cooked with care, using quality,  seasonal ingredients. The food we serve- and the welcoming environment we serve it in- really does make a difference to how children feel and learn throughout the day.

The cost of a meal is  £2.95 per day.

Our FEED App

We’re proud to use an award-winning online application to make meal ordering simple, convenient, and accessible at your fingertips.

The FEED app is designed to support busy families by bringing everything you need into one easy-to-use platform.

Through the FEED app you can choose and pay for your child’s meals, manage your balance, register your child’s medical dietary requirements, filter options by dietary preferences and receive direct updates from our catering team - all in one place. The app is also your go-to hub for important communications, including notifications about upcoming theme days, menu changes, and special events organised by the catering team.

Beyond ordering, FEED creates a clear and open channel for feedback, helping parents stay connected, informed, and involved. By combining convenience, communication, and transparency, the FEED app supports a smoother, more engaging mealtime experience for both families and schools.
