The school is in the fourth year of a project aimed at giving the children access to mobile devices. After extensive research we have come to the decision that, at this present time, the iPad is the best tool for education use.
As well as considering their use in class, the school is implementing a 1:1 model – where iPads are allocated to children for their use at school AND at home. We have found it is effective, affordable and it has been very successful indeed. September’s Year 4 families were invited to an information evening. Much of the content from that meeting is being posted here on our school website for you to look at.

One of the main questions we have been asked is how much are the parental contributions. For the 34 month lease, these are £9 per month for the use of a 32Gb 2017 model iPad, with case, insurance, tech support, £40 of apps and support/training. Please speak to Mr Blackman for more details.
To existing iPad families:
The iPad insurance is only valid if we make a claim within 15 days of the iPad being damaged or stolen. If either of these should occur during the holiday, it is vital that you email the school using the link below immediately. Please provide the following details in your email:
1) date and time of accident/theft ( and address if it wasn't at home)
2) brief sentence or two about what happened
3) your address
4) your phone number
5) names of any witnesses
6) for accidental damage, the serial number of iPad (12 characters long) which is on back of iPad or can be found by going into settings, general and then 'about' (assuming the iPad still works!)
7) if stolen, your police crime reference number
Please be aware that, if you do not report the incident to us in time to allow a claim within the 15 days, you may be liable for the replacement cost of the iPad.
